Gun Life

Life of a gun

Since I was born till form three, I can say proudly am happy to be alive. Yes because my life was used to that gun……..Thanks be to God.
Did I say gun? Oh yeah. A gun.  An AK47 rifle. They (name with-hold for privacy) used to raid our cattle. Back in school during first break or after it, while in class, our ears were set to hear that scream alerting us to get up to the escarpment (lagam) for our safety.
There is this particular day I was well seated in the front desk of my class when I heard that usual scream. Did I say usual? Mmmmm yah, because it was the norm.  Uuuuui ara Koibirir!!! (a scream alerting “they” were in another hill called Koibirir.) I tried to let my feeble legs safe me the agony of being killed by running ……
Up in the “lagam” I could not trace my brother who happens to be the last born in our family. Dying for my brother I had to go back and look for him. As in the teaching of Jesus in the parable of lost sheep, I could not breathe leaving my brother in a risk of death. On my half way I found my brother just crying for help. Indeed when he so he was kind of relieved. I suppose tears of joy ran down his cheeks.
But wait, the danger was still on; “they” were coming for the cattle. If at all they were for the cattle alone it could be better, but they could not spare anyone that came across their eyes, so I had to take my brother further for safety. Indeed we were both safe.
On that fateful day, a family who happens to be my close relatives was killed. An old man, his son and the wife of the son, all three were killed. Lord may they rest in peace…. Ka Chepchemei. Tears rolling down……………………………..

Why technology for your business

5Reasons Why You Should Choose Technology For Business
Business is the process where there exists a willing buyer and seller of a particular product or service.
Technology is the application of new tools, gadgets and machines to make information easily conveyed from one point to another in any part of the world. Being in the information age, technology therefore plays a major role in ensuring that information reaches the intended person or customer as quick as possible for better business transactions.
The main reasons why technology should be embraced in business are:-

Reliability

Technology is very reliable when it comes to transacting businesses. Many businesses do rely on technology for transmitting information especially using cell phones and the internet. For instance, a willing buyer from a country say US America can simply order for a product from China over the internet after providing his or her personal details to the willing seller. This seller will then deliver the goods to the willing buyer after the payment of the prices for the goods, or as per the requirements, terms and conditions they agree on together. This kind of business transaction is called e-commerce. However, still a willing buyer can make a call using the numbers provided on a particular website for contact in case  a willing buyer is supposed to make a classification with the business transaction.

Speed

In business, one needs urgency so as to meet customer needs and deliveries at all cost. Since technology embraces speed, a business person therefore ought to use technology in order for him or her to meet the customer requirements and obligations so as to maintain customer reliability. Urgency therefore ensures that customer loyalty is then met and that a customer gains reliability of the products that the business is undertaking.

Any Data

Technology is able to carry any data provided there is means for this data and information transmission. Technology can carry a raw data, that is, unprocessed data or information which is a processed data. For example, technology can enable a business owner to convey a binary data and the recipient can then convert the binary raw data into processed information and make an informed decision hence it is true that technology allows for transmission of any data.

Simplicity

Technology allows for simplicity of data. Simplicity means that a customer can easily understand the message that is being relayed to him or her. For any customer to be satisfied, he or she must be able to get the full understanding of the data or information about a particular product of the business entity that is being sold at the business premise. Therefore, to meet customer satisfaction, simplicity about product understanding must be met.

Picture/Images

With technology, a client is able to view the said products that are being sold and therefore make an informed decision about the product before making any business transaction. It is therefore with technology that a customer is partly satisfied before the final touch of the real product. For instance, a client in Kenya can make a full view of an HP laptop CQ 62 presario and its specifications before making an order of the same machine online.

Sober Minds, Yes Sober!

Sober Minds,Yes sober and very sober
The Sober mind!!! Yes, I mean it sober and a very sober. What is it with this soberness? Well from my locality, we used to believe it is only the rich who can make up and of course have a better life and better everything! Were we sober? I bet not. Through the years, since schooling is meant to make you better, I have ever learnt that a sober mind makes one rich. Yes, someone did say, an empty pocket never made man poor, only empty minds did!

Therefore what do I mean with a rich mind?

The rich mind thinks possibilities. The poor mind thinks impossibilities.

The rich mind asks, "How can it be done?" The poor mind believes, "It can't be done."

The rich mind asks, "How can I get that?" The poor mind intones, "You can't have that!"

The rich mind asks, "What do I have that I can use?" The poor mind declares, "I don't have what it takes!"

The rich mind sees the beautiful rose flowers amongst the thorns. The poor mind sees dangerous rose thorns amongst the flowers.

The rich mind looks out from the prison window and sees the stars. The poor mind looks out from the prison window and sees the mud.

The rich mind sees opportunities everywhere and goes after them. The poor mind sees risks everywhere and runs away from them.

The poor mind sees Goliath and thinks: He's so big I can't kill him. The rich mind sees Goliath and thinks: He's so big I can't miss him!

What the poor mind sees as an obstacle, the rich mind sees as a stepping-stone.

The rich mind sees half glass of water as half full, and is joyful. The poor mind sees half glass of water as half empty, and is sad.

Rich minds make the best out of the way things turn out. Poor minds make excuses out of the way things turn out.

Rich minds give results. Poor minds give reasons.

The rich mind thinks prosperity and abundance. The poor mind thinks lack and limitations.

The rich mind gives freely with confidence, fully aware of his eternal link to unlimited supply. The poor mind gives hesitantly, lest he be left with less than enough for himself.

Rich minds know life is fun and must be lived to the fullest. Poor minds believe life is hard and full of difficulties.

Poor minds think poverty is a virtue! Rich minds know poverty is a curse!

Rich minds passionately WANT money, and do something about it. Poor minds only WISH they had money, but do nothing about it.

Rich minds have purpose. Poor minds have wishes.

Poor minds revere money, and make it their master. Rich minds value money, but make it their slave.

Poor minds work for money. Rich minds send money to work.

Poor minds wait to get lucky. Rich minds work to get lucky.

While rich minds focus on creating additional sources of income to meet their growing needs and wants, poor minds focus on surviving through continual self-denial and cutting back on their needs and wants.

In conclusion, there is a positive and a negative perspective to every situation in life. When faced with exactly the same situation, some of us see more of the positive side while some of us see more of the negative side. Some of us are generally optimistic about life while some are generally pessimistic about life. This is because of our predominant mental attitude: Rich Mind or Poor Mind. And that determines our actions and reactions.

What we perceive of any situation is a function of our mindset or attitude to life and living, which has been developed over the long period since childhood. It is an inside thing. Our outer world is only a reflection of our inner world.

So, what is your mental attitude? What color is your mindset? Is it positive or negative, optimistic or pessimistic, rich or poor? Whatever it is, just know that Your Mind is your World, and you can take control of it right now, to create a new earthly destiny of your choice!

A positive mental attitude is a powerful habit-force that propels you towards your goals in life. By the law of mental causation in action, you must attract into your life the ideas, people, and resources necessary to bring to fruition your most dominant thoughts, whether they be good or bad, positive or negative, rich or poor.

You must therefore cultivate positive thought patterns that produce desirable results in your life experiences. You can achieve this by developing a positive mental attitude. Never allow any negative emotions such as fear, anger, anxiety, lack, greed, hatred, jealousy and revenge to occupy any space in your mind.

The quality of your thoughts determines the quality of your Life! Your mental attitude determines your earthly experience. Yes, your attitude determines your altitude. Rich thoughts, rich Life: poor thoughts, poor Life.

As you live your life in positive mental attitude, as you habitually project rich and positive thought-forms into the universe, you inevitably attract similar thought currents back to yourself; and you now see your world from an exciting new perspective that puts you firmly in control on the path to a happier, healthier and richer you.

Stay Smart, Wealthy and Wise!

My Photos Just

Have your say

Have your say
It’s been long since I came out of my way to where I am! Oh yes it is. Having grown up in a village somewhere in the then Tot division where cattle rustling were the order of the day and hearing gun-shots was not a strange thing even to a new-born baby. Back in my primary school, I got appreciate my head teacher, Mr. Jeremiah Biwott, who not only caned me for not adhering to the school rules but also made me understand he was like my father.
I remember the day KDF dealt with us to an extend of even setting fire to our own house. Yes very well, August of 1999. More worse, a helicopter spraying bullets on us, were we criminals really? The “quiz” rests there for the 2nd retired president to respond.
Like to add petrol on an already blaze, a week after, they (leave it that way) took all our cattle and killed several from my own village. OMG! Was there government for them? Oh No! Just because someone was funding, according to me, no any reports officially released for us if not me to know it real. My all blame could be on a dead person now but it is okay, just God be the right judge.
As a man who has come from that far end, I thank God for the gift of life that He always gives me….. Well the story still to continue!
My best gratitude lies squarely on the bottom line help from none other than Edward Chepkos Lodwala. Thanks dad you always made sure that am in school whatsoever, and even at this point, you still point your finger at me when am wrong. You really#Myrolemodel and I pay all my achievements to you.
 Allow me to….continue later!
